Layla was born loving animals. She got her first cat, a lilac point Siamese named Sheba when she was two years old. Sheba was followed by an orange tabby, Miki, and Bianca, a dog with a human level of intelligence, who was conceived when the neighbor’s English Pointer jumped the fence to make contact with the Border Collie next door. Later, kitty Moshe and Russian Blue, Gara, joined the pack.
Bianca lived for 16 years and was followed by a Flatcoat Retriever, Hopkins, who sadly died of cancer at age 9. Hoppy was followed by beloved kitties X’ian and Perry.
Over the years, Layla’s friends and family have always trusted her to look after their pets. She has taken care of a number of dogs and cats, from an adorable papillon to a Shiba Inu to a pack of lovable mutts and various rescue cats. Now Layla is excited to provide her services to pet parents of all kinds and give them the peace of mind they deserve knowing their beloved animal companions have the loving care they need.
Layla is a graduate of Columbia College, has taught at Montessori and worked as an artist.
